Area Relief Chef

Responsibilities

• Supporting various kitchen teams by providing shift cover for a cluster of our homes across various northern locations
• Help the Chef Managers manage the catering teams
• Aid the Chef Managers in promoting and monitoring food hygiene and safety standards, carry out risk assessments and ensure the kitchen is cleaned to a high standard
• Provide holiday and sickness cover across the region as directed
• Assist the Chef Managers with menu planning

Requirements

• Experienced Chef with a valid driving license and access to own transport
• Valid food hygiene certificate
• Able to take initiative and responsibility
• Passionate about producing high quality food

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Relief Chef to cover various Care Homes in the Sheffield and Lincoln areas, including Abbey Grange, Ruckland, and Neale Court. The role involves supporting kitchen teams, managing catering teams, and ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry
• Over 3 years’ experience as a Chef or in a similar environment and role
