About the role

The Area Manager is the operational and commercial leader for a designated region supporting power generation and industrial processing maintenance projects. This role is responsible for developing customer relationships, leading estimating and proposal efforts, and overseeing project execution from opportunity identification through project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, plant operators, and industrial power generation customers within the assigned area
  • Identify upcoming maintenance opportunities and support TEiC's regional growth strategy
  • Prepare project estimates using TEiC estimating tools and templates
  • Review and approve estimates for projects within the area
  • Lead the transition from estimate to formal proposal through TEiC commercial processes
  • Provide oversight of TEiC maintenance projects within the assigned region
  • Monitor project performance related to safety, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Provide project status updates and operational insights to senior leadership
  • Evaluate project leadership effectiveness and support continuous improvement across the area
  • Participate in staffing and leadership development decisions
  • Ensure all operational, financial, and commercial reporting requirements are completed accurately and on schedule

Requirements

  • Experience supporting power generation maintenance projects
  • Strong background in estimating, project execution, and customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated understanding of project controls and project risk management practices
  • Technical knowledge of power plant systems and major power generation equipment
  • Proven ability to lead multiple projects and teams across a region
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in field engineering, project management, or related roles supporting industrial or power generation projects
