Area Medical Practice Manager

About the Role

The Area Manager will oversee the overall operational responsibility for the business functions of the assigned urgent care centers in Florence and Muscle Shoals, AL. This role ensures service quality, financial results, optimal resource utilization, efficient service delivery, and a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient flow to ensure appropriate utilization of business resources and monitor wait times to manage workflow.
• Identify opportunities to increase business and expand the scope of services provided by the center.
• Maintain high team member morale and foster a professional, effective, and efficient working atmosphere.
• Participate in administrative business operations meetings as scheduled.
• Counsel, discipline, and/or recommend termination of team members as necessary.
• Own performance results related to patient experience, patient volume, financial outcomes, and service standards.
• Serve as the communication liaison between the home office and all center team members.
• Understand the workflow and function of all positions and fill in as needed during absences or high patient volumes.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for training and systems (e.g., UltiPro, DocuTAP, Healthstream, Front Desk processes, and Occupational Health).
• Implement policies and procedures from the Home Office and follow all operational guidelines.
• Oversee OccHealth sales and grassroots marketing of the center with support from home office service line leaders.
• Supervise all team members assigned within the area.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of healthcare management experience required; Urgent and/or Primary Care experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of workflow and scheduling.
• Ability to maintain a highly structured environment.
