SUMMARY: The Area Market Director will play a significant role in driving Patterson Pope’s continued success. This position will oversee all sales efforts in a defined territory.
Core Functions Of The Role
- Lead and manage a defined territory
- Penetrate the defined territory and secure profitable business from established customers and new prospects
- Acquire and maintain maximum knowledge of the product and service offerings
- Manage sales projects through to completion
- Other duties may be assigned

- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Sales experience preferred but not required

Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supervisory Ability:
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices and employee relations.
- Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality.
- Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
