Area Manager - CT - Hartford

About the role

As an IFC Area Manager, you will manage commercial accounts by determining pest issues, developing solutions, and treating customer facilities. You will maintain excellent customer relations through professional service, knowledgeable communication, and precise documentation. This role is integral to a financially stable and growing company.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high customer retention rates by responding to requests professionally and timely
• Serve as a problem solver using in-depth training to determine the most efficient pest solutions
• Exhibit attention to detail, work independently or as a team, and demonstrate self-motivation
• Resolve personnel conflicts, train and develop personnel
• Coordinate and implement policies and procedures for area operations and personnel
• Evaluate operational efficiency and maintain accuracy of customer log books
• Meet or exceed goals set in conjunction with the Territory Manager

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written business communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information sensitively
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
• Effective sales, marketing, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong interpersonal and personnel management skills
• Ability to concentrate in diverse work settings and perform efficient data entry
• Ability to obtain medical approval for CDL and respirator use
• Previous supervisory experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Moderate travel required
• Moderate exposure to confined spaces
• Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures (-20°F to 150°F)
• Ability to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs (2-12) with SCBA within 20 minutes
• Occasional kneeling, long and irregular hours
• Ability to ride man-lift, crawl, and walk frequently
• Ability to push/pull/roll large cylinders weighing up to 260 lbs

Candidates must meet physical job requirements, pass a drug screen, and have a good driving record.
