Area Manager

About the Role

Join a locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you’ll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations. This hybrid role combines hair cutting with administrative duties.

Ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the daily operations of one salon
• Support and coach Salon Managers across multiple locations
• Develop leaders, strengthen culture, and improve performance
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans
• Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent operations
• Work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area
• Cut hair regularly, though it is not the primary responsibility

Requirements

• Previous salon management or multi-unit retail management experience
• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations
• Commitment to collaboration, accountability, and proactive problem-solving
