About the role
The Area Manager oversees multiple Ready-Mix concrete plants within the Houston Division. Key responsibilities include supervising drivers, coordinating with dispatch, managing plant operations, and communicating effectively with job sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversees plant employees and drivers in production and delivery.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy as needed.
- Regularly inspects, maintains, and evaluates company property.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational regulations, laws, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
- Implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ready-mix concrete operations.
- Valid Texas license required and ability to pass an MVR verification.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and supervisory capabilities.
- Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Willingness to travel to various plants and job sites as needed.
