Area Manager 2026 – New England (Recent and Upcoming Graduates)

About the role

This is a full-time, entry-level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of hourly employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment, focusing on motivation, mentorship, and team performance. Amazon provides extensive training and development to prepare you for this people-leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates
• Work independently in an autonomous environment
• Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Work nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs (most sites follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off)
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment where applicable
• Step in as needed to support operations in a variable-noise-level environment
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Climb and descend stairs when applicable

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be fully conferred before your first day)
• Must have work authorization without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually (varies by location). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Locations with this salary range: CT (Windsor), MA (Charlton, North Andover), RI (Johnston).
