Area Manager 2026 – DE, MD (Recent and Upcoming Graduates)

This is a full-time, entry-level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. This role is not corporate, remote, or office-based.

About the role

Amazon is seeking customer-focused individuals to lead a team of hourly employees across our Operations network. As an Area Manager, you will engage, lead, and develop your team in a fast-paced warehouse environment where standing, walking, and on-the-production-floor conversations are common. You will motivate, mentor, and manage your team to meet goals while ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed. Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates
• Work independently in an autonomous environment
• Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs (most sites follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off)
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment at applicable facilities
• Step in as needed in a variable-noise-level environment
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be fully completed before your first day)
• Must have work authorization without employer intervention
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands as described

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or another related field

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200.00 – $75,000.00 USD annually (varies by location). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Locations: Seaford, DE; Wilmington, DE; Baltimore, MD; Hagerstown, MD; Hyattsville, MD; North East, MD.

Relocation benefits may be offered to eligible candidates at the time of offer.
