Area Manager 2026 – DE, MD (Recent and Upcoming Graduates)

About the role

This is a full-time, entry-level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of hourly employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment, focusing on motivation, mentorship, and team management to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates.
• Work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Work nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs (most sites follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off).
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment where applicable.
• Step in as needed to support operations in an environment where noise levels vary.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable).

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be fully conferred before your first day).
• Must have work authorization without employer intervention.
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands as described.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually (varies by location). Final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location.

Locations include: Seaford, DE; Wilmington, DE; Baltimore, MD; Hagerstown, MD; Hyattsville, MD; North East, MD.
