Area Maintenance Technician (Weekend Days)

Responsibilities

  • Cook up work orders for production equipment.
  • Attend meetings with manufacturing and engineering personnel to draft scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and utilization.
  • Utilize basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies.
  • Train and mentor less experienced technicians on maintenance best practices for their respective areas and equipment.
  • Develop processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime.
  • Lead work efforts for specific project tasks.
  • Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.
  • Work in team environments, perform solo work, and interact with all levels of management and colleagues.
  • Participate in continuous improvements initiatives within the process to enhance work tasks.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Education: Certification in mechanical, electrical, or apprenticeship preferred. Associates or Bachelors degree in mechatronics preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of five years related experience in a maintenance role. Minimum of two years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
    • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 24/7 operations manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Experience with vacuum casting furnaces, injection press machines, and/or Fanuc & Motoman robotic systems is preferred.
