Roles And Responsibilities

  • Operate motorized material handling equipment such as an overhead crane, side loader, and forklift.
  • When short-handed or during periods of high demand, assume leadership responsibilities to fill in where needed.
  • Train staff to ensure they are fully trained for the tasks they are performing.
  • Counsel, mentor, and develop the team.
  • Lead pre-shift safety and production huddles with the team.
  • Ensure corrective actions are taken to eliminate workplace hazards.
  • React to machinery breakdowns by directing repairs when possible, arranging for outside repairs, or reassigning personnel as needed.
  • Assume short-term responsibility for management absences as requested.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience operating equipment and recognizing materials in the service center.
  • Show leadership abilities and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Be flexible, dependable, and solutions-oriented.
  • Develop proficiency in SAP as part of the role.

Physical Requirements

Pass a physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.

Pay

$29.09 - $30.40 per hour. A starting rate higher than $29.09 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.

Schedule

The hours for this position are Tuesday through Saturday from 10pm to 6:30am.
