AREA INSPECTOR

About the role

An Area Inspector is required to work within the repairs teams for a large housing provider. The role is based covering stock across Kent, including areas such as Ashford, Aylesham, and Bexley. The team in the South works collaboratively, requiring own transport. This role involves limited involvement in the out of hours rota.

Responsibilities

• Review progress, set schedule of works and monitor progress to ensure a prompt turnaround.
• Maintain cost and spend to drive effective service.
• Work with external maintenance teams to drive a customer-focused service.
• Support the Area Manager in maintaining effective contractor relationships.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a building surveying or similar capacity.
• Experience of construction, maintenance, and repairs improvement programs.
• Repairs/maintenance experience, preferably in a social housing setting.
• Flexibility to travel within the base region, own transport essential.
