Summary
The Area Safety, Health & Environment Manager promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. The role involves spending at least 70% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and other safety professionals on correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors. The manager also serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Promotes the Company's IIF Culture by Being a Safety Resource to the BURG
- Affirms Project Compliance with all Safety Rules and Regulations
- Responsible for Case Management
- Directs and/or Oversees the Work of Staff
- Ensures a Safe Work Environment
- Participates in Training/Certifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of a certificate in a related field, or construction experience with OSHA 500 training certification
- Minimum of 7 years of construction experience, or a minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience (including Internship)
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
