Area Field Engineer - SITE / UG

Responsibilities
- Provides knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for construction (e.g., tunnel boring, site de-watering, glove boxes, special coatings systems, HVAC systems, Fire Detection and Suppression, reactor tender gallery coordinator, etc.).
- Provides technical consultation support to projects.
- Work Planning & Packaging: Prepares construction drawings and sketches. Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.
- Material Management: Initiates requisitions for field purchases. Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. Quantities: Leads the verification of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.
- Safety / Quality Control: Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
- STR / Subcontract Coordinator: Reviews and approves inspection test plans.
Requirements
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, EV battery, data centers, or Pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Hands-on implementation of AWP and OSM strategies; experience with project setup, system turnover, and completion preferred.
- Proficiency with digital execution tools, 4D/5D planning, and analytics preferred.

- Education and Experience: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
Skills
- Area execution leadership: Lead and integrate all discipline field engineers within the area to deliver safe, coordinated, and efficient construction execution.
- Cross-discipline work planning: Align civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping activities to area priorities, sequencing, and constraints.
- Schedule & performance ownership: Own area lookaheads, productivity, and critical path impacts; proactively remove constraints and drive recovery actions.
- Safety, quality & compliance leadership: Set expectations and ensure consistent application of HSE and QA/QC requirements across all disciplines in the area.
- Stakeholder coordination & decision authority: Act as the primary field interface for superintendents, construction management, engineering, and project controls; escalate and resolve issues decisively.
