Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid in project planning and design of temporary structures such as formwork, false work, lift plans, trestles, sheet piling, and shoring.
• Prepare and update schedules, identify critical work items, and compile lists of long-lead items.
• Coordinate survey crew activities and inspect material deliveries to ensure compliance with purchase orders and shop drawings.
• Track quantities, report on project costs, and assist in forecasting.
• Prepare requisitions for equipment and materials, notify the Project Engineer of potential costs impacts, and assist in the preparation of RFI’s.
• Document time and material work, assist with extra work activities, and keep a daily diary of project progress.
• Assist with project close-out and handle additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant construction engineering and/or surveying experience.
• Excellent management, supervisory, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in database and project controls software, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
