About the role
Cogent Biosciences is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team. This position will contribute to the development and advancement of precision therapies for genetically defined diseases, particularly focusing on the KIT D816V mutation and related cancers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the research and development of novel targeted therapies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance drug candidates through preclinical and clinical stages
- Perform laboratory experiments and analyze data to support therapeutic development
- Write and review scientific reports and presentations
- Stay updated with the latest research trends and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, and ELISA
- Strong understanding of cell culture and animal models
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field
- Experience with advanced laboratory techniques and technologies
- Track record of successful publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Knowledge of oncology and/or hematological disorders
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Prism, R)

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
