About the role

Join and lead our Controls team in Tempe, AZ as an Area Contracting Manager. This role involves driving revenue and profitability, managing project portfolios, supervising personnel, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue & profitability and achieve specific Annual Operating Plan priorities.
  • Maintain performance and progress of the Area’s project portfolio to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Support the Regional Controls Operations Leader in delivering business results and sharing department vision.
  • Collaborate with other Business Streams & functional leaders for greater inter-departmental collaboration and cohesiveness.
  • Directly supervise assigned Controls fulfillment personnel.
  • Identify project needs, assign personnel, and develop detailed project plans.
  • Function as the primary interface between the customer, vendors, sub-contractors, and internal expertise within the sales organization and fulfillment organization.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and assigned staff.
  • Lead as a local operations safety professional to establish & maintain a work culture that makes safety priority #1.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Business with at least 10+ years’ work experience in building automation/controls, and a minimum of 5 years in supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of industrial and commercial HVAC systems and building automation systems.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in construction processes associated with the installation & implementation of building automation systems and mechanical/HVAC projects.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Annual Base Salary Range: $117,673.33 - $189,800.00

Schedule

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues.
Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
