About the role

AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a creative, highly talented Area Business Lead- Water/Wastewater for immediate employment at our Cincinnati, Ohio Office with flexibility of having a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the business growth strategy for the Cincinnati area market in alignment with regional and national objectives and initiatives.
  • Identifies, manages, and participates in key industry events that align with the growth strategy.
  • Creates and maintains a robust pipeline of project opportunities as documented and managed in AECOM’s client relationship management database.
  • Led key pursuits, proposal reviews and interview preparation.
  • Collaborates with a strong and diverse team of capture managers, client account managers, project managers and technical practitioners.
  • Manages and provides engineering design of water/wastewater projects.
  • Develops talent and support their career planning via AECOM’s goal setting and performance management system.
  • Serve as Client Account Manager for a key clients in the Cincinnati area including MSDGC, GCWW, and Northern Kentucky SD1.
  • Support operations and project delivery teams in exceeding key project performance goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of business development experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer in Ohio or ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months preferred.
  • 15 years experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure design, assessment, and rehabilitation, including treatment, conveyance and pumping systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex municipal Water / Wastewater projects, preferably in Ohio or Kentucky preferred.
  • Experience managing staff and leading multidiscipline project design teams preferred.
  • Experience in coordination with regulatory agencies preferred.
  • Experience presenting at professional conferences and leading technical workshops preferred.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of 5+ professionals preferred.
