Responsibilities

  • Capture digital images of documents as specified by the company
  • Perform quality audits on each roll that have been scanned before transmission
  • Report progress and quality audit notes and enter data into spreadsheets
  • Initiate and maintain responsibility for the delivery or transmission of images to the corporate office
  • Perform regular equipment maintenance functions and coordinate for machine maintenance with third-party hardware service providers
  • Perform basic image enhancement and file organization tasks
  • Maintain professional relationships with partners that protect the image and mission of Ancestry.com
  • Perform various miscellaneous tasks related to the projects as they arise

Requirements

  • Technical person with experience working with digitization, archival documents, and goal-oriented projects
  • Efficient and detail-oriented
  • Accustomed to independent work in an environment that handles focused and repetitive tasks

Qualifications

  • Full-time position working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, 40 hours a week
  • Duration until December 2026

Skills

  • Experience with scanning and editing equipment, procedures, and materials
  • Experience with Photography, Library and Archives, or History background

Benefits

This is a contract-based position and is not eligible for Ancestry benefits. Compensation will be $20 per hour. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check.

Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, 40 hours a week
