About the role
BryceTech is currently looking for an Architecture Support IV to support Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological Radiological Nuclear Defense (JPEO CBRND) – Joint Project Lead Integration on the CBRN Support to Command and Control team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and workflow organizer for program architecture, data workflows, and integration with Command and Control systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, leadership, and subject matter experts to develop a holistic view of the organization's data-sharing and integration strategy, processes, information, and assets.
- Act as the CPE CBRND program-level architect for the Biosurveillance Information Platform (BIP), providing an enterprise solution that is scalable, adaptable, and aligned with the BIP capability needs statement.
- Support analysis of CPE CBRND capability gaps and overlaps in pursuit of Enterprise mission objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and validate DODAF architectures for JPM CBRN IEW.
- Use architecture products to identify system dependencies and potential capability gaps.
- Develop DODAF architecture models in coordination with the program office and user sponsors such as JRO, CCMDs, and other DoD and non-DoD stakeholders.
- Work with JCPE CBRND program engineers to develop system-level architectures.
- Ensure DODAF architecture and data models remain consistent with other CPE CBRND architecture models and Joint Staff J6 WMA architecture guidance.
- Develop architecture products that support acquisition documentation (e.g., CDDs, CPDs, ISPs).
- Provide comments and input for program and contract documentation (e.g., SEPs, TEMPs, RFIs, TORs, RFPs).
- Participate in CPE CBRND Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) at both the program and Enterprise levels.
- Translate high-level business features into specific data integration user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize data integration tasks within the product backlog and ensure data dependencies do not impede UI/UX or backend development.
- Define and update data models, APIs, and ETL/ELT pipelines to align with overall system architecture.
- Establish clear completion criteria for data integration tasks (e.g., data mapped, tested, and verifiable in staging).
- Serve as the liaison between DBAs, backend developers, frontend developers, and data scientists to ensure seamless data flow.
- Oversee creation of data mapping documentation and ensure accurate transformation of data from disparate sources.
- Guide the design and implementation of APIs to ensure secure and efficient data exposure.
- Identify and resolve data silos, access issues, or format mismatches that may impact sprint goals.
- Implement automated data validation checks to detect anomalies, duplicates, or missing fields early in the process.
- Oversee integration of database migrations and data pipeline updates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to assess and clearly communicate technical and project risks.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills.
- Fulfill standard reporting requirements, including:
- In-person architecture reviews, as needed
- Weekly touch-point calls
- Updating status-tracking systems
- Monthly written reports covering deliverables, work plans, and issues
Qualifications
- Shall possess twelve (12) years of Software Development/Information Technology experience and eight (8) years of Software Architecture experience
- Shall possess at a minimum three (3) years of experience developing and maintaining one or more Department of Defense Acquisition Framework (DODAF) v2.0 data architecture products and/or Data Models within standard data modeling tools (ERStudio, Erwin, etc.).
- Shall possess at a minimum of one (1) year working experience with the UNICOM Systems Architect tool or No Magic Inc. MagicDraw Architect tool.
- Shall have a minimum of three (3) years working experience with either the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).
- Shall possess a minimum of two (2) years experiences with Joint Common System Function List (JCSFL), Joint Common Architecture (JCA), Net-Ready Key Performance Parameter (NR KPP), Universal Joint Task List (UJTL), and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM).
