This role is a strategic professional position that closely follows the latest trends in enterprise architecture and adapts them for application within the business. The Architecture Sr Lead Analyst provides authoritative advice and drives significant business results, with responsibility over technical strategy and staff management.
Responsibilities
- Provides architectural vision for all IT systems, including those that support Internet applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise blueprints.
- Develops architecture, strategy, planning, and problem-solving solutions on an enterprise level.
- Interfaces across multiple channels, acting as a visionary to proactively define direction for future projects.
- Maintains continuous awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and consults on creative solutions.
- May be accountable for end-to-end project results, including budgeting, policy formulation, and future state technology strategies.
- Interfaces with vendors to assess their technology and guide product roadmaps based on Citi requirements.
- Exhibits in-depth knowledge of how the role’s specialism contributes to the business and understands the commercial environment.
- Provides thought leadership in key business subjects.
- Resolves complex issues using sophisticated analytical thought.
- Impacts the technology function through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.
- Uses developed communication skills to negotiate internally, often at senior levels.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Stays abreast of emerging trends in enterprise data architecture and data engineering.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage new technologies to address business challenges in the banking industry.
- Contributes to the development and execution of Citigroup's overall data strategy.
- Data Architecture and Engineering:
- Designs and implements state-of-the-art data flows, including cloud migration strategies, big data deployment plans, integrations, and supporting infrastructure.
- Analyzes and optimizes data storage, governance, and organizational needs across business units.
- Develops and maintains a robust, scalable data architecture supporting current and future needs.
- Appropriately assesses risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations while safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Strong management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to develop working relationships and manage multiple activities with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
- Methodical with strong attention to detail.
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience defining and executing cloud-first data architecture strategies across public and private cloud environments.
- Hands-on expertise with modern data platforms (data warehouses, lakes, lakehouse architectures) and familiarity with data fabric or data mesh patterns.
- Proven experience in API-driven data architecture and governance, including standards, lifecycle management, security, and reusable data services.
- Working knowledge of AI- and analytics-ready data architectures, enabling ML, advanced analytics, and real-time data use cases.
- Experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Spark, Presto/Trino, and Hadoop ecosystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; potentially a Master’s degree.

Pay
$156,160.00 - $234,240.00 annual salary.
