Architecture Instructor - Part-time Adjunct Pool
Salary: $67.00 hourly. Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula.
About the Role
Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. Applications will remain active for up to two years. If a need arises, qualified applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted by department supervisors, deans, or division chairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND 2 years of related professional experience; OR
- Associate degree AND 6 years of related professional experience; OR
- The equivalent (certain combinations of education, experience, and accomplishments may qualify).
Professional experience is required when the applicant possesses a master’s degree and must be directly related to the teaching assignment. Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Any degree from outside the United States must be evaluated by a NACES or ACEI member service.
A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

- Ability to assess student learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies benefiting the program.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the California community college mission.
