About the Role

We are seeking a Designer I to collaborate with our team through the complete design and construction process, specializing in healthcare, academic, and research facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct design-related research
- Interface and coordinate with other disciplines
- Develop knowledge of Ballinger’s project types (healthcare, academic/lab/research, corporate/workspace) through on-the-job experience
- Produce 3D renderings
- Pick up redlines in a documentation set
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Interiors, or equivalent
- Entry-level or up to five years of experience
- Working toward Professional Registration
Skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Graphics and visualization skills
- Attention to detail
- Self-starter with ability to generate design ideas independently
- Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or other modeling software

Schedule
This role is based in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters at 1650 Arch Street with three (3) days per week in office and a flexible, hybrid work schedule.
