What You'll Do
Business & Technology Strategy
Partnering with business and technology leaders to understand strategic objectives, business capabilities, and transformation priorities. Translating business strategy into technology strategies, architectural roadmaps, and implementation approaches. Assessing current-state business and technology environments to identify modernization opportunities and architectural improvements. Defining future-state architectures that balance business value, technical feasibility, scalability, security, and operational sustainability. Providing trusted advisory services to executive stakeholders on technology investments, architectural strategy, and long-term business capabilities.Architecture & Solution Design
Designing enterprise, solution, application, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure, AI, or technology architectures that align with business objectives. Developing conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models that support current and future business capabilities. Defining architectural principles, standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and best practices. Evaluating technology platforms, products, vendor solutions, and emerging technologies. Creating architecture documentation, decision records, solution diagrams, and implementation guidance.Delivery & Technical Leadership
Partnership with business analysts, product teams, developers, infrastructure engineers, data teams, and project leaders throughout solution delivery. Providing technical leadership during implementation while ensuring alignment to the intended architectural vision. Supporting backlog refinement, solution decomposition, implementation planning, and technical decision-making. Reviewing solution designs, configurations, and implementations for architectural quality and compliance. Resolving complex technical and cross-functional design challenges. Balancing enterprise architecture standards, governance, and best practices with practical business needs by evaluating tradeoffs and recommending solutions that optimize business value, delivery speed, risk, and long-term sustainability.Governance & Continuous Improvement
Establishing architecture governance processes, design reviews, and technology standards. Identifying technical debt, architectural risks, dependencies, and modernization opportunities. Driving consistency across enterprise platforms, applications, products, and business capabilities. Supporting technology roadmaps and long-term architecture evolution. Continuously improving architecture practices, reusable patterns, standards, and governance processes.Consulting & Stakeholder Leadership
Building trusted relationships with executives, business leaders, product teams, engineering organizations, and technology partners. Communicating complex architectural concepts, design decisions, and technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear, logical, and professional manner. Facilitating architecture workshops, design sessions, and strategic planning discussions. Building consensus among business leaders, architects, engineering teams, and governance organizations to deliver practical, scalable solutions that balance competing priorities. Influencing technology decisions through collaboration, credibility, and sound architectural judgment rather than authority alone. Providing thought leadership that helps clients balance innovation, delivery speed, cost, operational sustainability, and long-term business value.
Qualifications and Preferred Credentials
Successful candidates typically possess: 5+ years of experience designing technology solutions, with opportunities ranging from solution architecture engagements to enterprise-scale transformation initiatives requiring 15+ years of architecture leadership experience. Experience supporting business transformation, technology modernization, cloud adoption, AI enablement, digital initiatives, or enterprise platform implementations. Strong analytical thinking, solution design, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working within consulting or complex enterprise environments supporting cross-functional initiatives. Ability to quickly understand client environments, business capabilities, technology ecosystems, and strategic priorities. Experience translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and practical technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to evaluate architectural tradeoffs and recommend solutions that balance technical excellence, governance, delivery speed, business value, and long-term sustainability. Experience presenting architecture decisions to governance organizations and facilitating collaborative design discussions across technical and business stakeholders. Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve architecture analysis, solution design, documentation, and overall solution quality. Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and build consensus without formal authority. One or more of the following are considered a plus: TOGAF® Certification AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud architecture certifications Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or similar cloud-native certification SAFe® Architect or equivalent Agile architecture certification Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) or other security certification AI-related architecture or cloud AI certifications
