Architectural Technician - Construction Administration & Field Services

As an Architectural Technician – Construction Administration & Field Services based out of Boise, Idaho, you’ll join our collaborative project delivery team supporting building, industrial, and infrastructure projects from construction through project closeout.
Responsibilities
Performing field observations and site visits to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with design intent, specifications, and contract requirements.
Serving as a primary point of contact for construction administration activities during project execution.
Reviewing and managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, mockups, substitution requests, and change documentation.
Coinciding with contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and consultants to identify and resolve field issues.
Documenting contractor progress, site conditions, project risks, and construction activities through detailed reports and photographic records.
Supporting constructability reviews and identifying opportunities for improved project execution, efficiency, and quality.
Reviewing architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for coordination, constructability, and conformance with project requirements.
Monitoring workmanship, material installations, and construction activities to support quality assurance and quality control objectives.
Aiding project managers and project leaders with documentation management, issue tracking, and project communications.
Reviewing contractor requests, field changes, and value engineering proposals and providing recommendations.
Maintaining organized project records and document control systems.
Serving as an informal mentor and technical resource for junior staff and project team members.
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Engineering Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 10 years of experience in construction administration, construction management, building construction, manufacturing construction, modular construction, facilities projects, or related construction fields.
Experience supporting construction administration activities throughout project execution.
Experience managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and contractor communications.
Experience coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
Experience conducting field observations and documenting construction progress.
Working knowledge of construction means and methods, constructability reviews, and project delivery processes.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Ability to independently manage multiple assignments and priorities.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
Osha 10- or Osha 30-Hour Certification.
Experience leading construction administration efforts for architectural, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facilities projects.
Experience reviewing shop drawings, product data, mockups, and substitution requests.
Experience evaluating constructability issues and supporting value engineering initiatives.
Experience supporting quality assurance, quality control, or continuous improvement programs.
Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, owners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
Experience providing technical assistance to construction, manufacturing, or production teams.
Experience managing project documentation and document control systems.
Proficiency with Bluebeam and working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $66,000.00 to $103,200.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked.
Schedule
This position is non-exempt and paid hourly.
