Architectural Technician

Responsibilities

• Create diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view, and various drawings to scale in accordance with clients’ requests.
• Produce accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
• Perform mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations.
• Develop detailed design drawings and related specifications based on architectural sketches, specifications, and related data.
• File drawings, maintain standards data, and perform routine drawing functions.
• Systematically save sketches and drawings on the company server, keeping it organized and updating project folders as jobs progress and revisions are made.
• Review and check drawings for errors before sending them to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.

Requirements

• Professional experience using AutoCAD and Revit drafting programs.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit construction documentation drawings and data entry.
• Self-driven, professional, high-energy, and receptive to learning on the job.
• Knowledge of SketchUp or similar software is a plus but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a CAD Operator role.
• Construction industry experience is a huge plus.
• Good communication skills, comprehension, and willingness to learn.
