About the role

SRI is seeking an Architectural Designer / Architectural Support team member with 2–5 years of professional experience to join our Edwards, Colorado studio. This position is ideal for an emerging architectural professional looking for meaningful involvement in high-quality custom residential and resort projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project architects and principals throughout design, documentation, permitting, and construction. Team members at SRI have opportunities to participate in the entire architectural process and develop a well-rounded understanding of how thoughtful design becomes a built project.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams through Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, permitting, and Construction Administration
  • Develop architectural drawings, models, details, and presentation materials using SRI's office and design standards
  • Produce and coordinate Revit-based construction documents
  • Assist with development of plans, elevations, sections, wall sections, and architectural details
  • Participate in design discussions, internal critiques, and studio charrettes
  • Research materials, products, building systems, and code requirements
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with consultants, contractors, and other project team members
  • Assist with consultant drawing review and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Participate in site visits, field documentation, and construction observations
  • Help prepare client presentations and design documentation
  • Respond to redlines and incorporate project architect and principal feedback
  • Assist with permitting, submittals, RFIs, and other Construction Administration tasks
  • Take increasing ownership of project components as experience and capabilities grow

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of professional architectural experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related architectural design field
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit
  • Strong architectural drafting, modeling, and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of architectural detailing and building construction
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and visualization tools
  • Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet project deadlines
  • Attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small studio environment
  • Interest in custom residential architecture, mountain design, and highly detailed buildings
