Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • 5–8 years of architectural experience with at least 2 years in a project management role
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and detailing
  • Proven ability to coordinate design and technical teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and office-standard software
  • Experience managing consultants (MEP, structural, civil, etc.) and interfacing with clients, contractors, and building departments
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact from design through construction
  • Lead the internal project team and coordinate consultants to ensure timely, coordinated deliverables
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and staffing for assigned projects
  • Direct and review design and construction documents for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
  • Oversee permit submissions, respond to plan review comments, and coordinate with building departments
  • Facilitate project meetings, maintain progress reports, and document decisions and milestones
  • Mentor and support project staff in their technical and professional development
  • Participate in quality control reviews and ensure office standards are followed
  • Monitor project budgets and staff allocation; flag concerns proactively

Compensation

  • $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

About the role

  • Full-service Architectural Firm Established January 2017.
  • Our leadership was formed after working together for ten years, with combined experience of 60 years in the field.
  • Studio positions itself to be the communication conduit between Ownership, Design Professionals, Consultants and the Contracting Team.
  • Responsible for the prototypical development and rollout for hundreds of local, regional and national retail programs, specialty shops, boutiques, and custom restaurants.
  • Represent Clients at meetings with local Town Boards and Commissions and shepherds projects through the approval process.
  • Reports and Surveys commissioned by clients to assess construction compliance standards, accessibility, longevity of building, and more.
  • We perform on both sides of tenant/Owner table, monitor schedules very closely, manage consultants and engineers, and keep everyone informed.
  • Extensive experience in renovation, reduction, enlargement and the repositioning of local and regional existing shopping centers including façade renovations, interior planning, imaging, pad design and expansion phasing.
  • Our firm is structured to ensure that a Principal is involved hands-on on every project.
