About the role
AECOM is currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong architectural background and preferably with an active architectural license to join our growing team in one of the following offices: San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento or San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
- Cookordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery
- Serve as primary client contact throughout project development
- Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation and construction drawings
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations
- Support internal resourcing, consultant coordination, and team performance
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and AECOM standards
- May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists
- May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades
- Provide architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project
Requirements
- Bachelor’s from an accredited program 6+ years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Licensed Architect in California
- Experience in architectural project management, including experience in California market
- Proven experience managing projects of varying scales and complexities
- Proficiency in design and project management software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Project
- LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices
- Strong understanding of California building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with public and private sector projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications

Benefits
The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130000 to $160000 per year.
