About the role
A Project Manager with a strong architectural background and preferably with an active architectural license is needed to lead impactful architectural projects from planning and design through construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases of design and construction
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure design quality, technical accuracy, and timely delivery
- Serve as primary client contact throughout project development
- Oversee the preparation and review of design documentation and construction drawings
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with client expectations
- Support internal resourcing, consultant coordination, and team performance
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and AECOM standards
- May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists
- May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades
- Provide architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project
Requirements
- Bachelor’s from an accredited program with 6+ years of professional experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred
- Licensed Architect in California preferred
- Experience in architectural project management, including experience in California market
- Proven experience managing projects of varying scales and complexities
- Proficiency in design and project management software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Project
- LEED Accreditation or experience with sustainable design practices preferred
- Strong understanding of California building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with public and private sector projects, including mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Pay
$130,000 to $160,000 annually.
