Architectural Drafting Specialist

About the role

The Architectural Drafting Specialist reports to the department leader.

Responsibilities

• Draft a full set of plans for construction by internal deadlines
• Perform peer redline review
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for task completion and efficiency
• Draft custom options and HSP layouts
• Draft updates, changes, and miscellaneous items
• Review truss layouts, foundation plans, and wall panels
• Create presentations for the Sales team
• Submit master permits in all jurisdictions
• Review and approve interactive floor plans and renderings
• Framewalk houses
• Meet internal deadlines, as assigned
• Maintain professional appearance, dress, and communication
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to prioritize
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to framewalk homes and climb roofs (if necessary)
