About the role

Under the supervision of an Architect, the Architectural Drafter will apply extensive knowledge in a specialized function and a strong understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered. This role involves developing processes that require innovation and ingenuity, interacting with internal and external personnel on matters of significant importance, and modifying existing designs to improve them.

Responsibilities

• Use computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools to gather information, make studies, perform calculations, and prepare original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals.
• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, material, and planning groups in accordance with contractual specifications.
• Ensure timely completion of payroll timesheets and mileage reimbursement forms as required.
• Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and execute best practices.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members and create an environment for knowledge transfer and cross-training.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitor performance of the assigned department to ensure optimal success.
• Interact with all construction and office personnel to ensure designs and plans meet their needs.
• Coordinate all design/drafting activities, including:
  • Maintaining project schedules, identifying, and solving problems.
  • Addressing city plan comments.
  • Understanding project plans and specifications.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Preparing, submitting, and processing construction plans through local jurisdictions.
• Learn and understand dental office workflow and operation.
• Learn and understand all dental equipment requirements and specifications as they pertain to dental office design.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Preferred certifications: AutoCAD Certified, Revit Certified, and Energy Pro Certified.
• Procore experience is a plus.

Pay

$24.30 - $32.90 per hour.
