Architectural Designer - Mixed Use & Multifamily

About the Role

LRK is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our Baton Rouge, LA studio, working alongside a Principal on the front-end design of large mixed-use and multifamily projects. This position is ideal for a designer who is energized by the earliest stages of the design process—exploring ideas, developing concepts, and creating compelling visual narratives that shape transformative mixed-use and multifamily communities. This role focuses on the conceptual and schematic phases of design, helping transform ideas into compelling design solutions through site planning, building design, massing studies, graphic presentations, and presentation-quality packages.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (required)
• 2–3 years of experience
• Passion for thoughtful, design-driven architecture

Skills

• Strong design and problem-solving skills
• Excellent graphic and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, iterative design environment
• Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (preferred)
• Experience creating presentation graphics, renderings, and client presentation materials (highly desirable)
