Architectural Designer-Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA
About the role
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Architecture Designer to join our Los Angeles Architecture studio. This is a pivotal role to work on one of the most exciting, large and complex local projects: Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA.
This role requires being in-person for 3-4 days a week in the DTLA AECOM studio and/or the LA28 office. We are proud to be the Official Venue Infrastructure Partner for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Team USA.
Responsibilities
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Master's degree in Architecture preferred.
- Licensure (RA) preferred.
- 6 years of experience as an Architect or Architectural Designer on a variety of building types.
- Experience with Adobe Suite, Autodesk Revit, Enscape, Rhino and SketchUp.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Qualifications
- Autodesk Revit proficiency required.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $80000 to $110000 per year.
