Architectural Designer - K-12 Studio

We are hiring a Project Designer in our K-12 Studio under the Architectural division at our Rochester, NY office. The Architectural Division at LaBella provides comprehensive planning and design within dedicated studios, with projects ranging from targeted renovations and facility maintenance to projects that define communities. We believe architecture is about beautifying and bettering the communities we call home.

About the role

The Project Designer will develop construction drawings and specifications for review by the Project Manager/Architect. Responsibilities include performing construction administration and applying applicable building codes to designs. Assignments and supervision will vary over time.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction drawings and specifications for issuance to the Project Manager/Architect.
• Perform construction administration tasks.
• Apply applicable building codes to design implementations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience working for an Architectural/Engineering firm.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Licensure preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of NYS Codes and NYS SED Facilities Planning.
• Experience with K-12 projects.
• Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills (written and verbal).

Pay

Salary Range: $56,000 – $81,300 per year. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors including relevant experience, education, and work location.
