About the role

Cuningham is a design firm dedicated to creating healthcare environments that enhance healing, productivity, and connection. We seek an Architectural Designer to join our San Diego team and contribute to a wide range of healthcare projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop design solutions, documentation, and technical coordination across all phases of a project
• Collaborate with project leaders, consultants, and clients to advance project scope
• Support construction administration activities, including site observations and verifications
• Research exterior materials, wall assemblies, waterproofing, and vertical circulation
• Utilize MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit/BIM 360; familiarize yourself with Rhino, Enscape, and Lumion

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional architectural design experience and a professional degree in Architecture
• Experience in the healthcare market, or a genuine interest in growing a career in healthcare design
• Working knowledge of building codes, construction documentation, and BIM workflows
• A curious, collaborative mindset with strong attention to craft and a sense of responsibility for the impact design has on people and the environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to independently advance project scope with minimal supervision, collaborating directly with project leaders, consultants, and clients
• Architectural Designer II level compensation range: $60,000 - $95,000 per year

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit/BIM 360
• Familiarity with Rhino, Enscape, and Lumion
