Architectural Designer 1 - Multi-family/Commercial

Qualifications

• A professional degree from a U.S. accredited architecture program or equivalent
• 3-5 years of professional architecture experience with a focus on commercial/multifamily projects
• Ability to communicate ideas in sketch form
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
• Collaborative, team mentality, and open to listening to and considering the views of others
• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills and the experience to be efficiently productive
• Must take pride in producing high-quality work and be motivated to do your best

Responsibilities

• Ensure SV Design's project standards, professionalism, and creativity are conducted for all work
• Independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity or as part of a larger team on larger projects
• Perform analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts
• Prepare (with oversight) schematic drawings, drawing sets, presentations, submittals, meeting minutes, RFI responses
• Measure existing conditions of buildings
• Create and review architectural details in house
• Research equipment or products to be used
• Create window and door schedules and help draft interior elevations as needed
• Work with Project Managers through CA phase
• Review shop drawings
• Create and issue shop drawings as needed
• Regular site visits depending on project
