Architectural Design Consultant - Part Time
About the role
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is expanding its building-related services to better serve the firm’s multi-sector markets. CEC is seeking a Part-Time Architectural Design Consultant in its Monroeville, PA office. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of design experience on architectural projects, proficiency with BIM, and experience with construction documents and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare construction documents using BIM
- See projects through all phases
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary studio environment
- Coordinate design criteria with other disciplines
- Resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information
- Read and interpret construction drawings
- Perform material take-offs
- Write meeting minutes and proposals
- Travel for project needs (under 10% estimated)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering preferred
- Experience with site elements and building systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Revit, and AutoCAD
- Experience with construction materials, building codes, and regulatory standards
- Background in ADA accessibility requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Architectural license or desire to become licensed
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam software
- Experience in construction administration services
- Experience in property or facility condition assessments
- Experience in design/bid/build and design/build project delivery systems
