Qualifications & Expectations
- Professional degree in Architecture, Design, or a related discipline
- 35 years of experience working on architectural projects
- Familiarity with all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction documents
- Working knowledge of project design and construction documentation production
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Lumion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and motivated to learn
- Collaborative mindset with a professional, team-focused work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents, including:
- Design sketches
- Renderings and visualizations
- BIM modeling
- Graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules
- Apply creative judgment and design thinking to project work
- Develop high-quality presentation materials and participate in client meetings as appropriate
- Compile data and perform basic design computations
- Affix amendments, addenda, and bulletins
- Perform site analysis, field measurements, surveys of existing conditions, and documentation
- Work closely with project teams to understand workflow, responsibilities, and coordination efforts
- Utilize strong technical skills in Revit and other design software to support project delivery
- Aid in coordination among internal team members and external consultants
- Prepare Construction Administration documentation under the supervision of an Architect or Senior Architect
- Continue developing technical, design, and professional skills through hand-on project experience
