We are an architectural firm dedicated to fostering the growth of talented designers in a supportive, creative environment. We are currently seeking an Architectural Associate with 3–5 years of professional experience to join our Commercial Team in our Sarasota, Florida office.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Professional degree in Architecture, Design, or a related discipline
  • 35+ years of experience working on architectural projects
  • Familiarity with all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction documents
  • Working knowledge of project design and construction documentation production
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Lumion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and motivated to learn
  • Collaborative mindset with a professional, team-focused work ethic

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents, including:
    • Design sketches
    • Renderings and visualizations
    • BIM modeling
    • Graphics, details, sections, elevations, and schedules
  • Apply creative judgment and design thinking to project work
  • Develop high-quality presentation materials and participate in client meetings as appropriate
  • Compile data and perform basic design computations
  • Absorb and prepare amendments, addenda, and bulletins
  • Perform site analysis, field measurements, surveys of existing conditions, and documentation
  • Work closely with project teams to understand workflow, responsibilities, and coordination efforts
  • Utilize strong technical skills in Revit and other design software to support project delivery
  • Aid in the coordination among internal team members and external consultants
  • Prepare Construction Administration documentation under the supervision of an Architect or Senior Architect
  • Continue developing technical, design, and professional skills through hands-on project experience
