Responsibilities
- Develop creative and practical architectural designs for K-12 educational facilities, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D models that meet project-specific needs.
- Oversee the entire architectural process from concept development to construction administration, coordinating with clients, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Use AutoCAD and Revit to create accurate and detailed architectural drawings and models.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes and standards, leveraging a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulations associated with K-12 educational construction.
- Collaborate with a team of architects, engineers, and designers through design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and client meetings to integrate all perspectives into the final design.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior architects and designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an architect, with a focus on K-12 educational facilities and a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating innovative and functional architectural designs for K-12 educational facilities, showcasing creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey design ideas to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team.
Pay
$145,000 - $195,000 per year
