About the role
We are looking for an Architect II to complement our Building Systems team. You will work directly with senior architects & engineers, technicians and administrative staff and work on tasks including design calculations, quantification of bid items, cost estimates, drafting and plan design, report preparation, and field work. Located in our Columbus, OH or Pittsburgh, PA office, you will work with many different ms team members within the Building Systems Unit.
Responsibilities
- Focus of the position will be technical production of plans, sections, elevations, and details associated with multiple project types.
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Technical Architectural work and support for projects within the following software platforms: REVIT, AutoCAD and FormIt
- Technical understanding of building design and construction techniques
- Production related project tasks within the following software platforms: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Assisting the project team leaders to align Client & Technical Design Standards for each project
- Creating high quality documents and checking your own work before hand-offs to peer reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited College or University
- Technical Computer skills - Revit, AutoCAD, Word, Outlook, Excel
- Strong communication skills, good collaborator, creative thinker
- Experience working in technical project teams and with other service groups
