About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Solutions Architect to join our leading financial technology team in New York City. The ideal candidate will lead critical initiatives, analyze complex business requirements, and ensure regulatory and security compliance across cutting-edge networks.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement advanced network architectures
• Analyze complex business requirements and provide technical solutions
• Ensure regulatory and security compliance across financial networks
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation and functional requirements
• Support and troubleshoot network systems at Level 3 (engineering)
• Work with optical networks (DWDM) and network monitoring tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-priority network solutions

Requirements

• Extensive experience in planning, designing, and implementing advanced network architectures
• Strong knowledge of multicast routing protocols and methodologies within financial settings
• Expertise in WAN Virtualization technologies such as MPLS/VRF, including multicast VRF (MVPN)
• Deep understanding of the OSI model and multi-vendor network solutions
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive technical documentation and functional requirements
• Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting network systems at Level 3 (engineering)
• Familiarity with optical networks (DWDM), network monitoring tools, and security best practices
• Knowledge of scripting languages like PERL, Python, or TCL
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or a related field
• JNCIP certification (required)
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in network architecture and engineering

Skills

• Experience with optical networks and DWDM technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance processes and audit responses
• Understanding of operating systems (Linux/Windows) interaction with network infrastructure
• Prior experience working within a financial or low-latency network environment

Pay

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
