Architect
About the role
We're looking for an Architect to join our team at HDR. You'll be part of a dynamic group of professionals who design spaces and experiences that enhance community well-being worldwide. Your work will influence how people experience their surroundings, from healthcare facilities to educational spaces and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications
- Follow instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions
- Perform architectural assignments with direction but without immediate supervision and with limited design responsibility
- Recommend and select procedures
- Write reports and specifications covering architectural matters
- Take responsibility for phases of individual revenue-producing projects as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced with specialized project types such as Master Planning, Feasibility Studies, Stadiums, Arena, Performance Training Centers for intercollegiate and/or professional clientele
- Confident in client engagement via meetings and presentations
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max
- Rhino and Grasshopper experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
