Overview
Assists in planning, designing and directing architectural projects by performing the following duties:
Job Responsibilities
- Performs advanced assignments utilizing professional architectural knowledge and abilities.
- Independently performs most assignments with instruction as to the general results expected. Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory oversight on proposed plans for projects.
- Has sound understanding of codes and standards and can research code issues, present interpretations, and properly apply them consistently.
- Performs Life Safety analyses and prepares Life Safety Plans.
- Collaborates and checks own work and instructs, leads, and mentors junior staff to ensure documentation quality and timeliness.
- Coordinates and communicates with clients, consultants, colleagues, and contractors through clear and proactive communication.
- Assists in preparing and following design budgets and marketing proposals.
- Understands and applies sustainable/green strategies.
- Maintains positive and professional relationships with clients, consultants, colleagues, and contractors through clear and proactive communication.
- Performs construction administration duties, such as attending construction site meetings, shop drawing review, reviewing RFI's, and preparing ASI's per the contract documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture from an accredited four-year college or university
- Eight years of experience in architecture profession.
- Completed AXP requirements
- U.S. citizen
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
- Registration as a licensed architect or on a path to licensure within the next year.
Physical Requirements
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to navigate and move around the construction site, which may involve walking, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods on uneven surfaces.

- Revit with working knowledge of Navisworks and/or BIM 360
- Microsoft Windows, Excel, Bluebeam and Word
