Architect
Job Summary
In this role, you will plan, develop, design, and coordinate architectural work on large complex projects with unique requirements. You will prepare work plans, prepare 3D models, design documents, conduct model reviews coordinating with other disciplines, and assist with solutions addressing project requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of architectural work to include the preparation of layouts, details, and drawings using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications
- Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements and provides possible solutions
- Analyzes and reports on difficult coordination requirements
- Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and change orders
- Plans, coordinates, or assists in preparing specifications
- Covers architectural efforts in assigned areas with engineering disciplines, the client, vendors, contractors, construction and other functional groups
- Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations
Education And Experience Requirements
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
- Required Knowledge And Skills:
- Knowledge of architectural design, production techniques, building specifications, construction documents, and project delivery methods
- Knowledge of building codes, current industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to architectural work
- Understands and performs the standard architectural work planning, scheduling, and job hour estimating process
- Experience in monitoring and ensuring compliance with project budget, quantities, and quality requirements
- Knowledge and experience using BIM for interdisciplinary coordination and familiarity with Autodesk Design suite (e.g., Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) and similar applications
- Proven ability to work within a diverse multicultural environment
