Architect
About the role
We are seeking a talented Architect who will produce and refine project documentation, including schematic designs, design development drawings, and construction documents, under the supervision of licensed architects. The role involves assisting in field surveys and site observations, documenting architectural features of structures, and translating field conditions into accurate virtual models.
Responsibilities
- Produce and refine project documentation including schematic designs, design development drawings, and construction documents.
- Assist in field surveys and site observations, documenting architectural features and translating field conditions into virtual models.
- Utilize Revit and other rendering tools to create visualizations, virtual models, and presentation graphics.
- Manage the BIM model in REVIT and BIM 360, monitoring model quality.
- Provide technical support for BIM-enabled workflows and coordinate with internal teams to solve design challenges.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards.
- Stay informed of updates in codes, materials, and best practices.
- Work with clients to design or renovate spaces to meet construction, finish, and FF&E standards.
- Enhance the function, safety, and aesthetics of a project.
- Generate design concepts for color palettes and materials and present to clients.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of experience working at a firm
Skills
- Proficient in Revit
- Experience in sectors like education, commercial, mixed-use, historic preservation, and multi-family residential is welcomed
Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office presence from Tuesday to Thursday. The office is part of a leading Chicago architecture and engineering firm known for its collaborative, high-energy studio environment. Pay
- $71,000.00 - $91,000.00 per year
