About the role
We are seeking an experienced and Licensed California Architect to join our Education team in Fresno. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary technical resource to project teams, applying and deepening their understanding of general concepts, standards, and team dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Engage in design discussions and critiques, contributing innovative ideas to enhance design quality.
- Participate in all project phases, from concept through construction, providing both creative and technical expertise.
- Translate design ideas into buildable, high-quality solutions that reflect thoughtful architecture.
- Prepare presentations and marketing materials for clients and support project design and delivery.
- Develop and coordinate architectural drawings, specifications, and consultant collaboration to support project design and delivery.
- Offer and/or provide technical guidance and mentorship, depending on your level of experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is realized and project goals are achieved.
- Support or lead project planning efforts, including budgets, schedules, and quality control reviews.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to foster successful relationships and project outcomes.
- Participate in construction administration, ensuring design integrity through project completion.
Requirements
- California Architect License
- A bachelor's degree in architecture (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of relevant architectural project experience in K-12 projects in California
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, or other 3D modeling tools (a plus)
- A genuine interest in both design and technical excellence – seeing architecture as the art of bridging creativity and constructability
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

Pay
$83,600- $145,000 annually. Compensation and level DOE.
