Architect - Active Directory (AD) Solutions

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in Active Directory projects, focusing on areas such as AD Architectures, Group Policy Management, ADFS, ADCS, Active Directory Security, Sites and Services, and Entra ID Integration.
• Practice Technical Leadership: Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to inform business strategy.
• Pre-Sales Engineering: Evaluate and recommend technologies for various project sizes and complexities, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
• Architecture Planning: Develop comprehensive architecture plans for projects, addressing system integrations, data flows, and infrastructure needs.
• Create Detailed Design Documents: Produce detailed architecture and design documents that align with business objectives and technical constraints.
• Implementation Oversight: Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural plans and addressing any issues.
• Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records of all projects, including architectural designs, decisions, and changes.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the architecture and design phases, developing strategies to address potential challenges.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating discussions and providing guidance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure solutions meet quality standards and perform as expected, conducting reviews and suggesting improvements.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure solutions comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaboration: Align architecture with project goals and integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Engage in the training, development, coaching, and selection of less experienced team members, providing leadership and guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT industry experience with 2+ years focused on Active Directory Solutions.
• Experience in designing and managing complex AD environments, including migrations and consolidations.
• Experience with security protocols, AD security auditing, and zero-trust models.
• Experience with scripting and automation in PowerShell and other tools.
• Experience with IAM solutions, role-based access control, and multi-factor authentication.
• Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery.
• Experience with troubleshooting and optimization.
• Experience with enterprise-level deployments.
• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate, ITIL, CISSP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Consultative mindset and experience integrating complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures.
• Client-focused solutions provider with a proven ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions.
• Presentation skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
